Mindo Loma was created ten years ago, with our main goal is to prevent the destruction of the distinct habitats of this cloud forest.
In this forest we have different eco-systems that contain various species in danger of extinction.
For the protection of this area we have decided that eco-tourism is the best way to handle this situation so that it does not hurt or harm the natural environment of this place that is so rich with bio-diversity.

Mindo Loma is influenced by two important areas,
“El Choco” and “Los Andes”.
The destruction of these areas has been incredibly grave in these recent years.

We have started scientific projects about the behavior of the hummingbird.  All of this is made possible with the help of the “Centro por la Salvaguardia del Colibri” in coordination with the Ambient Ministry of Italy.
